Death by Force

Willie Bell, a 60-year-old African American man, was found dead on August 9, 2018, in the yard of his home in Cairo, Georgia. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) and the Cairo Police Department quickly determined that his death was a homicide. Bell had been shot, and his body was discovered in the 600 block of 15th Street Southwest in Cairo. The GBI was called to assist with the investigation, and an autopsy was performed at the GBI Crime Lab to confirm the cause of death.
