Derrick Scott, a 34-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on December 9, 2018, in Columbus, Georgia. Derrick Scott was shot when gunfire erupted at the Sands Apartments on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. He was transported to Piedmont Midtown Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
