In the early morning hours of December 12, 2018, the life of 28-year-old Darius Daniels, a Black male, was tragically cut short in a violent encounter at a motel in Lilburn, Georgia. Daniels, who was from the nearby city of Snellville, was visiting a friend at the Homestay Suites located in the 4300 block of Stone Mountain Highway when the fatal incident occurred.
