On December 25, 2018, Tonay McCall, a 28-year-old African American male, was found shot to death in Cordele, Georgia. The incident occurred late at night in the parking lot of Joe’s Meat Market on South Joe Wright Drive. Cordele police officers responded to a shooting call around 11:30 p.m. and discovered McCall in a car, dead from an apparent gunshot wound. The Cordele Police Department immediately requested assistance from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) to help solve the case.
