In the summer of 2019, a festive block party in Macon, Georgia, descended into a scene of chaos and violence that would ultimately claim the life of 25-year-old Gerald Pennyman Jr. On the night of Saturday, June 1st, gunfire erupted at a large gathering on Suzanne Drive, an event that would later be described by the Bibb County Sheriff as part of a 'Saturday of mayhem and destruction.'
