On a late Wednesday night in June of 2019, gunfire shattered the peace at the Green Meadows Apartments on Log Cabin Drive in Macon, Georgia, forever altering the lives of three individuals. When Bibb County Sheriff's deputies arrived at the scene just before midnight on June 26th, they discovered a chaotic and tragic scene with three people having been shot.
Twenty-year-old Antwan Fuller was pronounced dead at the scene, having succumbed to his injuries before help could arrive.
Among the wounded was 27-year-old Matthew Adarius Davis, who had sustained a critical gunshot wound to the head. He was rushed to a nearby medical center and was listed in critical condition. A third victim, 34-year-old Mia Sanders, was also transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound to her thigh and was reported to be in stable condition. For two days, Matthew Davis fought for his life, but his injuries proved to be too severe. On the morning of Friday, June 28, 2019, he was pronounced dead.
