In the summer of 2019, family and friends of Demetrius Collins, a 37-year-old man, were faced with a grim discovery. On Saturday, July 13th, Collins was found deceased in a home located on Alder Lane in the Oakland City neighborhood of southwest Atlanta. The discovery was made after the homeowner asked a friend to check on the residence. Upon entering, the friend found Collins's body and immediately contacted the authorities.
