Demetrius Collins, a 37-year-old African American male, was found dead on July 13, 2019, in a home on Alder Lane near the MARTA station in Atlanta's Oakland City neighborhood. Collins, who was the father of two young children, was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds. The police believe that he had been dead for several days before his body was found.
