Jesse Turner III, a 68-year-old African American man, was tragically killed on October 7, 2019, in Ellenwood, Georgia. Turner was shot while pumping gas at a BP station on Panthersville Road. The incident occurred in the late afternoon, around 5 p.m. Turner, a retired employee of Ford Motor Company and a local lawn care business owner, was described by his family as a loving father and grandfather to six grandchildren.
