In the late evening of February 26, 2020, a shopping trip to a Walmart on Old National Highway in South Fulton, Georgia, turned into a scene of tragedy for a young family. Dikwan Baker, a 23-year-old African American male, was fatally shot while sitting in his car in the store's parking lot. The brazen act of violence unfolded in the presence of his 3-year-old son, who was in the car with him, and his girlfriend, who was six months pregnant with their second child.
