Willie Battle, age 19, was fatally shot on April 23, 2012, in the 2700 block of Boarman Avenue in Baltimore, Maryland. The shooting took place in a residential neighborhood, and Battle succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Law enforcement did not immediately have suspects or clear motives for the killing, which added to the challenge of solving the crime.
