Ernesto Anderson, a 31-year-old African American man, was tragically killed on January 4, 2021, in Atlanta, Georgia. Anderson was driving to work on Interstate 20 when he was shot by an unknown assailant. The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. near the Capitol Avenue exit. Following the shooting, Anderson lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a guardrail. He was found in the driver's seat with a gunshot wound to the head and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
