In a tragic turn of events on January 29, 2021, a heated argument between a father and son in their Smyrna, Georgia, home culminated in a fatal shooting. Gregory Davison, a White male, was shot and killed by his 26-year-old son, Cannon Davidson. The incident unfolded at their residence on Sherwood Road, shattering the quiet of the suburban neighborhood.
According to police reports, Cannon Davidson himself called 911 shortly before 11 p.m., admitting to the operator that he had shot his father with a shotgun. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Gregory Davison in the living room with life-threatening injuries. He was immediately rushed to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, but tragically, he succumbed to his wounds and died early the next morning.
During the investigation, Cannon Davidson recounted the events that led to the deadly confrontation.
