In the quiet community of Jonesboro, Georgia, the life of Mark Frazier, a 40-year-old man, was brought to a sudden and violent end on a Sunday night, January 31, 2021. The events of that evening would later unravel a story of a dispute that escalated to a fatal encounter, leaving a family to mourn a significant loss.
The incident occurred just before 10 p.m. at the Tara Hill apartments, a place that would become the scene of a tragedy. Henry County Police were dispatched to the location following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Frazier suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the immediate response and medical attention, his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The initial investigation suggested that the shooting was the result of a dispute that had taken a deadly turn.
The investigation into Frazier's death quickly led law enforcement to a suspect, Deionte'acusso Baugh of Hampton. Through their diligent work, investigators were able to identify Baugh as the individual responsible for the shooting.
