In the early morning hours of February 11, 2021, a gathering at The Eva Apartments in Sandy Springs, a city in the Atlanta metropolitan area, turned deadly. Twenty-year-old Ariel Collazo, a male from the nearby city of Norcross, was present at the apartment complex when gunfire erupted around 2 a.m. Collazo was tragically shot and killed during the incident.
