In the early hours of May 12, 2021, a tragic shooting incident unfolded at the Preston Hills at Mill Creek Apartments in Buford, Georgia, resulting in the death of 24-year-old Edgar J. Cruz Fuentes. A male, he was discovered by Gwinnett County police inside one of the apartments with fatal gunshot wounds. The initial call to authorities was made shortly before 2:30 a.m., reporting a person had been shot.
