In the summer of 2021, a house party in Tifton, Georgia, turned into a scene of violence that claimed the life of 23-year-old Jada Golson. On the night of Friday, July 9th, law enforcement was called to a residence in the 4800 block of Union Road, where a celebration had been taking place. Upon their arrival, they discovered that multiple people had been shot.
Golson, who had sustained gunshot wounds, was rushed to a local hospital for medical attention. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after her arrival. Two other individuals, identified as 31-year-old Chadwick Sears and 20-year-old Tenaya Ladale Hill, both of Tifton, were also injured in the shooting and received treatment at the hospital.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called in to assist the Tift County Sheriff's Office with the homicide investigation. Their collaborative efforts quickly led to the identification of a suspect. The following day, on Saturday, July 10th, authorities arrested 22-year-old Alexis Danielle Banks of Albany. Banks was subsequently charged with one count of felony murder and three counts of aggravated assault in connection with the shooting that resulted in Golson's death and the injuries to two others. Following her arrest, Banks was held at the Crisp County Jail. The investigation into the incident remained active and ongoing as authorities continued to piece together the events of that fatal night.
