In the summer of 2021, a senseless act of violence cut short the life of Lorenzo Davyne Omartez Capers, a 22-year-old African American man from the Atlanta, Georgia area. On the evening of August 5, 2021, Capers was gunned down in what has been described as a targeted shooting. The incident occurred in the 2100 block of Forrest Park Road.
