Jermaine Payne, a 34-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on September 14, 2017, in Atlanta, Georgia. Payne was walking into the Sierra Townhomes on Godby Road around 8 p.m. when he was shot and killed. The unknown suspect stole his property and fled the area on foot. This incident has left the community in shock and mourning, as Payne was a well-known resident of the area.
