In the late afternoon of November 4, 2021, Henry County Police Officer Paramhans Dineshchandra Desai, a 38-year-old male of Indian descent, was dispatched to a domestic violence call in McDonough, Georgia. It was a call that would tragically be his last. While attempting to make an arrest at a residence near the intersection of Keys Ferry Road and Floresta Drive, Officer Desai was shot. The gunman fled the scene, leaving the officer critically wounded.
