Paris Bernard Thompson, an 18-year-old Black male from Griffin, Georgia, was wounded in the early hours of December 31, 2021, after a shooting on the 400 block of North 9th Street. Police were called around 2:00 a.m., and Thompson was later found at a nearby residence suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. He was rushed to Atlanta Medical Center, but he did not survive.
