In the winter of 2022, the life of 34-year-old Randy Demond Sanford was tragically cut short in what Atlanta police believe was a dispute involving illegal narcotics. On the afternoon of Friday, January 28, 2022, officers were called to an apartment complex on Commerce Drive in northwest Atlanta following a report of a person shot.
Upon their arrival at approximately 2:00 p.m., law enforcement discovered Sanford inside one of the apartments, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Emergency medical personnel from the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department attempted to render aid, but despite their life-saving efforts, Sanford was pronounced deceased at the scene.
