William Mykell Lowery, a 17-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on May 29, 2022, during a music festival in Sandersville, Georgia. The event, held at the Larry Mitchell Ball Park, was marred by gunfire that erupted amidst the festivities, resulting in the deaths of William and another attendee, Christopher “Scooter” Dunn, aged 30.
