On July 26, 2022, Anthony Lee Flowers, a 33-year-old African American male, was fatally shot outside a convenience store located at 2302 Wheeless Road in Augusta, Georgia. The incident occurred around 10:45 a.m. when Flowers got into an argument with an older male, later identified as 62-year-old Frederick Orlando McNeal.
