In the quiet landscape of Dodge County, Georgia, a dispute between neighbors over a pet tragically escalated, leading to the death of 48-year-old John David Ussery on September 16, 2022. The incident unfolded when Ussery arrived at his son's home to find his neighbor, 71-year-old Ronnie Robert Reaves, shooting at his son's dog. The dog had reportedly gotten loose and attacked Reaves' cat.
