In the quiet evening of September 18, 2022, a sense of tragedy befell a neighborhood in Lilburn, Georgia. It was there, in the front yard of a residence on Burns Road, that 29-year-old Celeste Lawson was found suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The call to Gwinnett County police came in around 8:30 p.m., reporting a person down. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Lawson, a resident of Bowdon, in critical condition.
