Elijah Daniel DeWitt, an 18-year-old white male, tragically lost his life on the night of October 5, 2022. DeWitt, a star high school football player from Jefferson High School, was fatally shot in the parking lot of Sugarloaf Mills Mall outside the Dave & Buster's in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The incident occurred while DeWitt was on a date with his girlfriend, Bailey Reidling. According to reports, DeWitt was shot multiple times and was found deceased on the ground by responding officers.
