Erick Lakeem Davis, a 15-year-old Black male from the Savannah area, was shot on October 11, 2022, in Garden City after authorities said gunfire erupted in the 4400 block of 3rd Street around 2 p.m. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries, and the case quickly drew in the Georgia Bureau of Investigation after Garden City police asked for assistance.
