Robert Patrick McDermon Sr., a 35-year-old white male, tragically lost his life on April 11, 1981, in Baldwin, Florida. McDermon, a dedicated trooper with the Florida Highway Patrol, was off-duty and assisting in the search for an escaped prisoner from the Union Correctional Institution.
