Lonie Jeffries, aged 53, tragically lost his life on August 20, 1982, in Miami, Florida, during a mass shooting incident. The perpetrator, Carl Robert Brown, was a former teacher who had a history of psychiatric issues and had been relieved of his teaching duties earlier that year.
