Colin Fowles, a 32-year-old Jamaican-born professional soccer player, tragically lost his life on September 1, 1985, in Miami, Florida. Fowles, who had a notable career in the North American Soccer League (NASL) and United Soccer League (USL), was playing in a local soccer tournament at Bunche Park in Opa-locka when he was fatally shot.
