On December 20, 2023, 18-year-old Antwan Delvinere Hampton was fatally shot in the Little Haiti neighborhood’s Little River area of Miami, Florida. Police officers found him lying on the front lawn at 6847 NW 2 Court after receiving a Shot Spotter alert at approximately 9 p.m. Hampton was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where he died about two hours later.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting and any possible motives remain unclear.
Detectives have released a video recorded on a Miami-Dade County bus showing three males who are persons of interest in the case. The individuals are described as follows: one wearing a black RLG hooded sweater, dark pants, and black and white sneakers; another wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, light jeans, black socks, and black sandals; and the third wearing a red hooded sweater, black and white sweatpants, white socks, and black sandals.
The police are seeking the public's help in identifying these individuals and understanding the events that led to Hampton's death.
