Markniah Newell Joseph, a 35-year-old man from Miami, Florida, lost his life due to gun violence on April 19, 2023. The incident occurred near the Lagniappe restaurant in Midtown Miami, although it was clarified that the shooting did not involve patrons or employees of the restaurant itself, but rather took place outside a neighboring business.
