Johnpierre A. Kamel, a 13-year-old student from West Palm Beach, Florida, tragically lost his life on January 27, 1997. The incident occurred outside Conniston Middle School, where Johnpierre was fatally shot by his classmate, Tronneal Mangum, following an argument over a wristwatch. The altercation escalated when Mangum, who was also 14 years old at the time, pulled out a .38-caliber pistol and fired three shots, one of which struck Johnpierre in the chest.
