Christopher Todd Horner, a 35-year-old police officer with the Haines City Police Department, tragically lost his life on March 3, 1998. Officer Horner was on duty when he encountered a suspicious vehicle in a cemetery at approximately 6:40 am. He radioed in a description of the vehicle but failed to respond to further communications.
