On June 18, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred in Haines City, Florida, resulting in the death of 24-year-old Naquan Elijah Swift. The incident took place around 3:30 p.m. on the 1000th block of Avenue N, where a group of men were engaged in a game of chess. Kristavion Jacoi Harris, a 22-year-old man known by the alias "Pooh Bear," walked up to the residence and initiated an argument with Swift. This argument escalated, and Harris pulled out a firearm, shooting Swift multiple times.
