Detective Todd Fatta, a 33-year-old white male, was fatally shot on August 19, 2004, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Fatta, a nine-year veteran of the Broward County Sheriff's Office, was part of the Law Enforcement Against Child Harm (LEACH) Task Force. On the day of his death, he and his team were serving a search warrant at the home of Kenneth Wilk, a registered sex offender suspected of possessing child pornography.
