Makayla Joy Sitton, a six-year-old girl from Jupiter, Florida, tragically lost her life on November 26, 2009, during a Thanksgiving gathering. The incident, which has since been referred to as the Jupiter Thanksgiving Murders, occurred when Paul Merhige, an uninvited guest and relative, opened fire on his family members.
