John Solomon, aged 66, tragically lost his life on January 16, 2014, in Fort Pierce, Florida. The incident occurred during a violent home invasion at a residence on North 18th Street. Solomon, along with 30-year-old Dontavis Albury, was fatally shot by intruders who stormed into the home. The assailants, armed with firearms, demanded cash and valuables from the occupants. When the victims were slow to comply, the intruders opened fire, resulting in the deaths of Solomon and Albury.
A third victim, Percell Derival, was also shot but survived the attack with a shoulder injury.
The investigation into the murders led to the arrest of Shauntavious Ingram, who was 16 years old at the time of the crime. Ingram, along with two other unidentified accomplices, was charged with multiple offenses, including two counts of first-degree murder with a firearm and home invasion robbery.
