Rodrick Randle Alexander, a 32-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 14, 2014, in Tampa, Florida. The incident occurred outside the Sugar Shack, a club located at 5110 N. 40th St., around 1:30 AM. Shots were fired, and Alexander was struck. He was subsequently taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries later that day.
