Angela M. Covington, a 37-year-old African American woman, was tragically shot and killed on July 16, 2014, in Brownsville, Florida. The incident occurred shortly before noon inside her business, Ann Marie's All That and More, located on Cervantes Street. Covington was reportedly shot multiple times by her live-in boyfriend, Dearin J. Leggs, 28, following a verbal altercation earlier that morning.
