On May 16, 2021, 27-year-old Leeza Martinez was tragically shot and killed in her home in St. Petersburg, Florida. The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. when police received a call about a shooting at the 1200 block of 8th Avenue South. Upon arrival, officers found Martinez critically injured and she was immediately transported to the hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
