Robert Parker, a 62-year-old African American male and former Miami-Dade Police Director, was found dead on July 22, 2015, near a canal close to his northwest Miami-Dade home. Parker, who had retired in 2009 after a distinguished 33-year career in law enforcement, was discovered with a gunshot wound to his head.
