Daniel Ortiz, a 44-year-old Hispanic male, tragically lost his life on September 28, 2015, in Sarasota, Florida. The incident occurred when Sarasota police officers responded to a call about a car accident in the 1500 block of 25th Street. Upon arrival, they discovered Ortiz suffering from a gunshot wound.
