Marquis Grooms, a 24-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on January 20, 2016, in Sanford, Florida. The incident occurred at the Kensington Oaks Apartments on Mellonville Avenue near Lake Monroe. According to reports, officers responded to a 911 call and found Marquis Grooms shot dead inside an apartment.
