Kreg Costa, a 43-year-old sergeant with the Broward Sheriff's Office, died on June 15, 2016, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Costa's death came shortly after he had been released from jail on bond following his arrest on multiple child pornography and illicit sexual conduct charges.
