Martavious Carn, a 3-year-old boy, tragically lost his life on August 14, 2016, in Riviera Beach, Florida. He was with his mother's boyfriend, 24-year-old Amir Stepherson, when they were ambushed and shot while sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot of the Mystic Woods Apartments. The incident occurred around 9:42 p.m. and was not a random act of violence but rather a targeted attack stemming from a dispute involving Stepherson. Martavious' mother, who was also in the vehicle, was unharmed.
Both Martavious and Stepherson were pronounced dead at the scene.
