Thomas LaVon Peterson Jr., a 16-year-old from Jacksonville, Florida, tragically lost his life on November 5, 2016. Peterson was shot near the intersection of West 11th Street and Spires Avenue in Northwest Jacksonville. After being shot, his friends rushed him to UF Health Jacksonville, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
