Death by Force

Brandon Holcomb, a 36-year-old man from Jacksonville, Florida, was fatally shot on September 26, 2024, during the passage of Hurricane Helene through the city. The incident occurred in the vicinity of Eaverson Street near the New Town neighborhood. Jacksonville police officers, who were in the area of West Beaver Street, heard gunshots around 8 p.m. and found Holcomb with multiple gunshot wounds when they arrived at the scene. Despite immediate attention, Holcomb died at the scene.
