Russell Leon Jackson, a 59-year-old resident of Lakeland, Florida, was tragically found dead in his home on December 25, 2017. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was linked to Patrick Jon Rayha, a 49-year-old man from Pasco County. Rayha was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, robbery with a firearm, armed burglary, and failure to register as a sex offender. His accomplice, Carla Ann Bolin, was charged as an accessory to the crime for providing the getaway vehicle.
The case against Rayha was built on substantial evidence, including surveillance footage and forensic analysis.
