According to Cobbins' father, Kelvin Arnold, the altercation escalated when Pete, who had been drinking, brandished a gun and shot Tyrone during their dispute.
Following the shooting, Pete Arnold fled the scene, prompting a manhunt by the Miami-Dade Police Department. Despite initial detainment of a subject a few blocks away, no immediate arrests were made. The police continued their investigation, urging anyone with information to come forward. Cobbins' family expressed deep concern for Pete Arnold's safety, fearing that the situation could lead to further tragedy if not resolved peacefully.
